Wild Camping Trips
The circumnavigation of Raasay and Rona is one of the classic sea kayak journeys of the Inner Hebrides. Lying between Skye and Applecross, Raasay is ringed by the magnificent Cullins and Trotternish hills to the south and west, and the Applecross hills and Torridon Mountains to the east and north. Closer at hand Rassay has incredible cliffs, flanked with ancient woodlands, and tumbling waterfalls, which rise high above the passing paddler. Each day we will continue our journey to set up camp in a new stunning location. On Raasay, Rona and the islands to the north stand long abandoned villages and shielings over looking quiet, protected bays, the perfect haunt for seals and otters. The high cliffs are home to eagles and deer, while the Inner Sound is an ideal area to see porpoise, dolphin, basking shark and even the occasional whale.
Available dates for this trip are shown below. Our trips are normally fully inclusive but some of our trips are available on a kayaking-only basis. Where a kayaking-only option is available you will see that price shown and will have the option to choose 'kayak only' on the booking form. For our lodge-based trips the kayaking only option means you are responsible for all your meals and accommodation. For wild-camping trips you will be responsible for providing and cooking your own meals. Please contact us if you require more information.
