The Magic of Uist
Lodge Based Tours
Uist with its miles of unexplored rocky shoreline, and myriad islands is an adventure just waiting to happen. Based upon the Uists in the Outer Hebrides we will paddle on the wild, remote and majestic east coast, in the stunning Sound of Harris and maybe even venture onto the west coast. We will kayak in sea lochs, renowned for otter sightings and explore inlets and bays far from the beaten track. We will explore quiet lagoons, land on glorious beaches and on small islands surrounded by mountains and wildlife.
During our trip we may take time to climb some of the highest peaks in Uist, home to red deer and eagles. The terrain is rugged, but the effort is rewarded with absolutely stunning views. Below your feet lies the Uists a latticework of land and water, whilst further a field lie the islands of Barra, Skye, and Rum. The mix of hills and sea lochs, wild coastlines, quiet lagoons and white sandy beaches makes this an unforgettable and unique adventure.
On our trips we use twin and double bedrooms. We do expect guests travelling on their own to share twin rooms (same sex). We would need notice if this is unsuitable, and we will do our best to source a single room (single room supplement woudl be payable).
